Raj Miah Family History by Shuna

Let me give you a brief history

Barik Miah's great grandfather's family turned up in Mirpur Union, Jaganthpur, Sunamganj Dist just before The Indian Sepoy Mutiny (1857).

Dewan Mohammed Danish Mamon let him settle in his village of Holiyarpara. As the family got bigger they intermingled in marriages with the Dewan family. After the British removed the Dewan (a punishment for supporting the mutiny) the family became Talukdar's (land holder's), and through the likes of Kudrath Ullah Talukdar, Uzeer Mamon Talukdar and Mohammed Abdullah Talukdar, Barick Miah's descendant's gained power.

When almost 90% of Holiyarpara village population relocated to the UK through Oxford, London and Northampton during the late 40s, Barick Miah moved too and the rest is History.

But their are other things that must be noted, Barick Miah's family at one point became so poor that they had to beg, his relationship with his mother was sour, and we all know how well he got on with his brothers.

But still we are not to judge, Our prophet Muhammed SWA teached us to forgive. He forgave Hind the lady who chewed his beloved uncle Hamza RA liver, he forgave Kalid bin Walid RA for his massacre of the Muslim army at the battle of Uhud, he even forgave Abu Sufiyan, his number one enemy after he became a Muslim. Let Allah judge them and not us.

Thank you for your contribution.
